Ice Cream The sun burns my skin I sit waiting patiently For the Ice-cream Man. I wrote this poem while remembering the joy of being a child. Remember your childhood, the joys and pain of the sun. |

Hello Karen, This was a strong image to create with so few words, I am trying to learn how to do that! Yes, I remember the ice cream truck, although at my house the answer was almost always no, so a bettersweet memory. |

Karen, Thanks for the memories, I remember the bell ringing and the thrill that followed. We had Good Humor which I actually knew the man who drove my neighborhood and dated him, but no free ice cream ~laughs~ We also had Mr Softee, on that truck you could get milkshakes. |

Ice Cream is my favourite stuff. That reminds me we have some new chocolate stuff in the freezer... Wait 'till I get it................. Hoo hoo! Premiata gelateria "tonitto" Coppa Famiglia... 'Scuse me while I disappear for a while! Thanks Karen - you brought back pictures of my childhood for me too. That Ice Cream Man was SO magical... instant shouting, excited anticipation, longing... drooling... |

Thanks for the memories guys. Its fun to walk down memory lane, but it's funner to write about the memories. Keep writing, it's the 2nd best thing to laughter. Keep Smiling, Karen "There is nothing more beautiful that a smile that shines through the tears." |
