i speak in written word; my lips, no sound may utter-- though in my silence i may be found, my soul in mortal mutter. you may fail to hear me if you close your eyes-- you must look beyond the sounds and become mesmerized. silence from my lips; my heart believes in time-- the time it takes to form the words in the straightest line. deep beneath the brightest smile, and underneath the tear is a story or and explanation i wait for you to hear. so hear me with your eyes, hear my written line; in my silence my words were aging-- as the finest tasting wine. --dgvarner |

DgV, I missed this the first time around, I'm glad you saw fit to share it again. Words are mighty tools or weapons, we decide thier use and hope to achieve their desired affect.Poetry is such a powerful mediun for conveying issues of the heart that spoken word may fail to do.
