I thought I'd leave the "amjors" long enough to drop some sweet petals on this sweet place. I wrote this poem a few days ago. Hope you all enjoy it.

Mike

-how to appreciate flowers-
i. rain
cluster of flowers weighed
down in mud.
leaves glistening, crumbs
of dirt darkening,
sliding down the leaves.
stems pushing forward, down, out,
up.

ii. dry
a wish in view.
head gentle, curling, uncurling,
folded along velvetcell lines.
a small green pedestal
of complete slow adoration
-- physical neediness to be loved --
balancing a centered silken heart.

fragrance, aroma of sweet
exhale, perfume natural,
scent slightly insistent.

cupped in invisible hands,
waterstraw through a central vase.
florescent molecules collecting,
brightening the tabletop, piano or cabinet.

or among its own,
the green and the colorful,
the world's many fragiled heart
awake and opensmiling.

Uh... that word should have been majors. Majors! It kinda looks french the way I have it, but I'm lousy at french (c'est vrai, n'est-ce pas?) See what I mean?

Well, Mike, this is definitely a major poem!   I like how you title the parts...I can learn a lot from poets like you.

Great poem!

I like the yin/yang (rain/dry) thing.

I own a flower shop, and this certainly caught my interest. I really liked what you did with this, opened up a flower and spilled out the right words.  Lovely!

Very good! Like Munda, I can almost smell them, feel the wet earth on my hands as I cup a blossom....

Thanks everyone. Glad you enjoyed the flowers.   And the best thing about poetry -- any kind of writing -- is we all learn from each other.
