I stand here today to make you this vow And I just pray you'll understand it somehow of course I promise to love you through sickness and health And I will still cherish you through poverty and wealth But On this our wedding day what ever I may say or do I don't think I could portray How much I really love you So I want you to know that I'm for real no matter what I show or how you may feel I am writing a poem for my sister, which will be getting married in one month, And I wanted to write a pem for her, And this is not all of it, but I wanted to know If you all think i am on the right track, please, I would love some suggestions. thanx alot! I think the happy couple will love your poem. May your roof never fall in and those beneath it never fall out. Irish proverb. |

This is lovely, so far! I think a poem is a wonderful wedding gift for the couple. Also, at my daughters' weddings, I wrote each a poem and had it laminated for them and also had copies made for each of the guests, rolled up like a scroll with a ribbon tied around it (in the color of the wedding party). Everyone loved them! Denise |

On the right track, staying away from the obvious and mushy stuff. What a wonderful keepsake too. Please post it all, if you feel like it, lots of people will want to hear it all I bet. |

This is excellent so far. I am sure they will adore it. I think its great, also, that you want to write a poem for them. Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau" |

Can't wait to see rest of it.. I'll be keeping my eyes open wide... It's great so far!! I awake to a world I don't want. There is no transition for me. I am in heaven. I am in hell. |

So sorry I missed this one the first time around, I tend to do that more often than not. I agree with JTC, the happy couple will absolutly love the poem. Let us know how it turns out, and tell your sister best wishes! Life defines no more than what it is you ask for. April 20, 2000 Alicia A. Renzelman |
