I went out this evening at dusk, just to take out the dog. The air was scented with a dewey musk & the cresent moon surrounded by fog. The former humidity & clamminess of the day passed was replaced with a suple growing coolness in the silverness of moonshadows cast. The garden was graced with a nightly freshness. Moonlit zodiacs peirced the clouded sky & sparkled off dew drops on the grass. The trees dripped with leftover rain, they cry & the shimmering stars shine like brass. The world is silent at night. I escape from the useless human scramblings that exist in the working day light. I retreat to my mental ramblings. At night in quiet i ponder the plight of man. I wonder at our selfishness & greed that society's fire fans. We long to follow someone else's lead. Why can't we lead ourselves??¿ Forget the chains & cages society provides & take our minds down off labeled shelves. Forget their evil chides. We are all bound to society,in one way or another. Either taught to wear CK & Guess, or told to hate our "poorer" brother. The same "religion" of likes & dislikes we all profess. Life as we know it is shallow. The world of mankind is shrouded in things that really don't matter. Our lives are amazingly HALLOW with no purpose,we are all just scattered. But i beleive in a purpose,a hope for our demented lives. But until my beleifs are fulfilled,i continue to cope with the lack of morals & love that onward drives. I find peice in the dark, & sometimes in the day. One sweetly singing lark, & a single glimmering ray...... ....of peace...... And there she weaves by night and day, a magic web of colours gay.~Tennyson |

Excellent Swampy, I agree wholeheartedly. May your roof never fall in and those beneath it never fall out. Irish proverb. |
