Healing I awake frightened, confused familiar warmth has disappeared. Four o’clock, wee hours at very best finding her in the living room dark. Legs tucked under, holding tattered blanket her tears wetting, matching pillow. Love washes over in wave after wave knowing she has, out here to cry. She left our bed to be alone to not wake me with her sorrow. Even in anguish, she thinks of me comes to the dark, alone to weep. Remembering a co-worker, once upon saying how she shines, brightens. Wonderous as she radiates love when to office she dropped by. I join her on our couch together we cry, memories cutting sharp. A sharing, never should have to be shared we hold, finally silent, spent as morning comes. Next morning, put on fresh face pretend our world; recovered, safe. Until the next, wee hours at very best crashing memories, tears... welcome another. bleeding... "Tis ink coming from his arm, Captain!" |
