A Kyrielle For hundreds of years they have come to our shore. The humble and frightened, the weak and the poor. They want to be part of this land of the free. And vow to protect it. God save our country. Our forefathers bought it with blood, sweat and tears. Good men have died for it down through the years. They left it with honor to you and to me. We vow to protect it. God save our country. Our military keeps our flag flying high And folks for its honor are willing to die. So if you would join us, please come legally. We vow to protect you. God save our country. They've come in geat numbers from all of the world, To settle in peace where our flag's been unfurled. In states melded together one nation to be, Which has vowed to protect us. God save our country. No matter one's color or manner of speech, Her skirts are voluminous, lengthy her reach. We all blend together in sweet harmony And she will protect us. God save our country. Now coming nearer the Fourth of July With picnics, parades and the flag passing by. Respect it, salute it, the flag of the free. And vow to protect it. God save our country. sometimes I think of what they want to do with the flag in these day Joice..its not and never will be what it was. they actually want to take it out of the AMERICAN schools. we fought for this country for that reason...to give them a right to try that. I`m just blabb`n good write. |
