Snippets of Christmas (memories) Current mood: amused Category: Writing and Poetry SNIPPETS OF CHRISTMAS (MEMORIES) by Shanna Casinger (written 12/17/07) Snowflakes on my windowsill sparrows in the tree. Fire crackling against the chill- a kitty on my knee. Muffins that are piping hot- ham frying in the pan. Coffee brewing in the pot (for my sleep befuddled man). Postage stamps on Christmas cards, stockings hung with care. A snowman standing in the yard- sweet treats for all to share. Family gathered 'round the tree, the carol has been sung... the presents unwrapped joyfully- GOD BLESS US, EVERYONE! "Ya have to kiss a lot of frogs before you meet your prince... just watch out for all the pond scum!!!" |
