As dark clouds agitate, spiral and churn Blood red eyes seek and peer through dead branches Searching to satiate a hunger that boils and burns While the wind wails terror’s tune Bruised and broken creatures lurk just out of sight Skulking silently in the chilled darkness, waiting Yearning to begin the demonic hunt in Halloween night Blackness is their camouflage The moon teases as it flits from behind churning clouds Fangs, moist with saliva, glint and beckon Decay riddled-bodies under tattered death shrouds Bones gently rattle like dead leaves Hair-raising screams soar to saturate the dank air The Creatures silently stalk among their prey While humans remain blissfully unaware Hurrying past dancing shadows They recall stories once long forgotten About Witches, Demons and Werewolves Skeletons dressed in flesh that is long rotten Tantalizing with new-found terror … Trick or Treaters beware It is Halloween night The greatest of dangers Remain out of sight. aziza |

So the season is rapidly approaching us once again. I'll never think of Halloween in the same way--it brought back thoughts of my son who was a night person and might be found roaming the graveyard dressed as the grim reaper. Will greatly miss him at Halloween this year as he passed away on July 2, this year. In God we trust and one nation under God |

mice.... I'm sorry about the loss of your son. I have a daughter, estranged, who is also a "night person." I will keep you in my prayers. Ali... isn't it wonderful to acknowledge all of your aliases? |

It's kind of a shock actually, darling Sunshine. 'aziza' was so long ago (it seems) and now when I read any poems from that time, I want to re-write them. Love you, A |

They missed me too - don't get any trick or treaters or witches on broomsticks. A |
