http://www.lepoeme.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=26&Itemid=48 Merry Christmas everyone! This is a poem that I wrote during the early hours of Christmas morning. It speaks of the beautiful, yet everlasting interim between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I hope it brings you and yours some extra holidy cheer. Tonight, the laughter subsides and the smiles go to sleep, As the flickering candle flames slowly weep. The cedar smells, now tucked away, Wait patiently for Christmas day. But dawn breaks slowly this time of year, Carefully crafting the next day’s cheer. While our crimson red dreams paint the new snow, It’s the dawn that dictates how they will grow. So dream with passionate faith and love, As time brushes your heart from the heavens above. And when you awake, canvas full and bright, The dawn will be there to shine on it, Light. |
