I bleed the words in ink obsidian on a parchment thin with age read with care the story tendered upon this hallowed page Are the words lessened if not read though issued from my heart in pain overlooked, these words lie fallow deliverance with no spirit’s gain The smile unseen, the tear not wiped a hand’s need for a caress bleed the words of love and pain unread, invisible, in agony my distress. |
