When through the years, the friends that you make, Create a life so fine, You’ve got to tell them how you feel, At least at Christmas time. It needn’t be written up on the sky, Or hung below a bridge, It needn’t be engraved in Gold, Or in giant letters up on the ridge. But it’s got to be honest, Warm and sincere, It’s got to be loud, So they all can hear. And more so than words, That you write or they hear, You must send them wishes, Of good will and good cheer. So I say to my friends, Both far and near, I’m sending you wishes, Good Will and Good Cheer. You are the friends, Who make my life fine, It’s knowing you’re out there, That makes the Sun shine. As the year-end comes nigh, And the holidays, too, I am wishing the best, To your families and you. ©Wayne D. What a lovely greeting with sincere thoughtfulness. I, too, fell so enriched and blessed to be a part of all these great people on this forum. Thanks, and best wishes to you and yours. |

Valkommen, Wayne, and Merry Christmas to you! A lovely poem you have there, and I wholeheartedly agree with the message of which it speaks. < !signature--> Nail to the mast her holy flag, Set every threadbare sail- And give her to the god of storms, The lightning and the gale! -Oliver Wendell Holmes [This message has been edited by Elizabeth (edited 12-24-1999).] |
