My first post at Passions, with a few modifications for Mother's Day. A gentle wind blew across the land, Reaching out to take a hand, For on the winds the angels came, Calling out a mother's name. Left behind, the children’s tears, Loving memories of the years, Of joy and love, a life well spent, And now to God, is a mother sent. With saddened heart, a child's farewell, Regrets of love, one forgot to tell, A mother whispers from above, “It is not words that shows one's love." As flesh departs, deep sorrow's pain, But a mother's love, ever shall remain, Inside each child, a mother lives, For of herself, a mother gives. While children weep and dirges play, Ever shall her memory stay, Within the hearts of those she bore, A mother’s love, forevermore. As a mother lays in final slumber, Always shall her child remember, A loving soul; angelic face, Embodiment of perfect grace. On angel's wings, a heavenly flight, The journey home, towards the light, To those who weep, a life is gone, But in God's love, 'tis but the dawn.
