Cupid Needs Glasses

That cupid is cross-eyed
He’s always missing me
Tries to aim at my heart
He hits the nearest tree

Cupid he needs practice
For I am living proof
Last year he flew over
Landed upon my roof

Convinced cupid’s blind
Must be blind as a bat
Watched him one year
He had aimed at my cat

In watching him yearly
Flying right passed me
His problem with sight
Poor cupid cannot see

I’ve wrote him and said
Please see an optician
Dear cupid get glasses
To assist in your vision

I mailed him this letter
Along with an eye chart
So this year I’m hoping
Cupid reaches my heart
