Wise Men Still Seek Him

The wise men
Who had studied the stars
Let a star lead them
Many miles from afar

Seeking the Saviour
Time they did not waste
Diligently they
Sought the place
Where the infant was born.

They asked for directions
To where the great event
Had took place
For they were anxious
And ready for Him to adore
The one who had been promised
Many, many years before.

"We have seen His star
In the East" they said
"And we seek Him
With our hearts to adore"

Soon they found the one
Whom they sought
Presenting their gifts, they
Then fell on their knees
And worshiped before Him,

God's holy light shone
Down from above
And his Holiness
Filled the entire place.
The gifts they had brought
Were all well and good
But were nothing compared
To the love
That permeated the air,

Even with all their great knowledge
And riches so vast
The highest homage they could
Give to the new born King
Was the gift that they gave
When they fell on their knees
Worshiping, and adoring,
And recognizing
The greatest gift that
That could ever be given
The one whose name was Jesus
God's only Son.

VERY true words there Songbird...Jesus was the first, and most precious, Christmas gift.

Good poem here......A wonderful read!

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them!
