Christmas Thoughts

I dim the lights
_____the stars appear
__________the nighttime skies are oh, so clear.

And as the flakes begin to fall
_____I think of loved ones
__________one and all.

I think of Dad
_____in heaven above
__________and hope he knew how he was loved.

I think of Mom
_____who's far away
__________and wishing her a joyous day.

I think of my brothers
_____who are not near
__________and hope for them, a wonderous year.

I think of my sister
_____my best friend, who
__________I'm sure does know, I love her, too.

I think of my husband
_____who is leaving me,
__________hoping someday, happy he'll be.

I think of All
_____my friends on line
__________and wish for them, "peace of mind."

As in the background
_____I begin to hear
__________the Christmas Carolers coming near.

I invite them in to sing a song
_____as they warm up
__________and before too long

They're on their way
_____down the street
__________to cheer whomever they shall meet.

I rest for a second
_____in front of our tree
__________and just for a moment I think I see

the reflections of all
_____my loved ones in
__________the Christmas lights, that are so dim.

Wynter,
Nicely done. I have started a list, too, and you're on it. I do hope you can have a very Merry Christmas. You are pure of heart.

You bring to the light how important it is to be thankful for all that we have even though we regret that which we don't have...happiness comes from acceptance...James
