I built a snowman in the yard.
It took a while, but it wasn't hard.
I put a hat on his snow bald head.
A pipe in his mouth and called him Ed.
He stayed all night till just after dawn.
The sun came out, and poor Ed was gone.

When I pulled up my E-mail and saw the notifications from Netpoets I was a little surprised.. I haven't written a poem in so long I sometimes think all the poems I did churn out where a figment of my imagination, but then isn't that where all poems come from.   Thank you all for your comments on this piece. And thanks for making an old poet feel special about something she wrote.
