Sea gulls sing, are you list'nin'? At the beach, surf is glist'nin', A beautiful sight, a sunset tonight, Walking' in a winter wonderland. Stored away are the snow skiis, Here we stay in our short sleeves, You sing a new song, 'This is where we belong!' Livin' in a winter wonderland. In the yard we can trim a palm tree, Then pretend to shovel lots of snow, You'll say, "Do you miss it?", I'll say, "No ma'am, "I feel younger by the minute don't you know." Later on, we'll conspire, and grill some shrimp on the fire, The plans we have made include sunshine and shade, Walkin' in a winter wonderland! Merry (early) Christmas from SUNNY southern California!!! ------------------ ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. To escape this, accept the blood of Jesus Christ! ~*~ [This message has been edited by Echo Rhayne (edited 11-30-1999).] |

Merlynh...Thanks, but I don't want to publish it...I just have this personal thing about publishing my work. I have thought about putting abook together for MANY years, but I dont really want to. Just something personal! But thank you for the confidence in my work to think that! Yes, reminds me of that too, when i go to Florida to visit mine as well ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. Delightful, this has always been my Christmas and I wouldn't have it any other way, except for occasional holiday mountain trips Wondering where you live in SoCal..I have been here all my life (40+ years) and it has NEVER snowed where I live, of course I live at the beach...but your poem indicates you do, too. Anyway, I enjoyed this very much! |

I live by Magic Mountain....but I am ALWAYS at the beach, not too far of a drive for me. It has snowed twice here in the last 18 years, and the last time was 10 years ago exactly. But I can easily drive 15 miles north east of here and be in the snow. Oh well, I know there are a lot of people here who love it like it is, but me I am a cold weather/snow/rain/etc. type of person. ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. Thanks Denise. I swear if it gets below 50* here everyone is freezing. It's actually been about 40* at night, which to me is close to perfect, I wish it would get colder though. I don't know what people would do out here if it did though! ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. Love it. The only thing I can think of that's better is this Chicagoland reality of genuine snow to shovel, build snowmen, go sledding, see spendid ice sculptures, then actually warm up by a radiant crackling fireplace. Did I make you jealous yet? haha |

This was great........*walks into his tropical wonderland* I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

This is too cute--Sang it all the way through! I only enjoyed a Florida Christmas with my mother, a few years ago. I kind of like the snow and the crackling fire in the fireplace and (No chestnut roasting by the open fire) Thank You! David |
