There is a certain charm that folks hold dear
As friends and family all gather near
Around the Christmas tree bedecked with light
And sing with joyful hearts ‘O, Holy Night’.

There is a special feeling in the air
As children hang their stockings with great care
And dream of Santa Claus expectantly;
Of bright and shiny toys beneath the tree.

There is a certain magic to be found
As ribbons, bows and twinkling lights abound
As halls are dressed with holly boughs and bells
And homes are filled with scrumptious Christmas smells.

May all its charm and magic bring you cheer
And bless your heart throughout the coming year.

Pouring over these lines, I could smell the piney tree scent and the aroma of homemade cookies.  It's amazing how much effort we can muster up to get all these things done, because their done in love.  Thank you.  Rae

What a great poem! Made me smile and we all know how much I love to smile.....and if you don't then now you do!

Thanks everyone, I'm glad you enjoyed it! As a matter of fact, Deb, I did write this specifically for my Christmas cards this year. They are all printed up and ready to go, just have to buy the stamps....hehehe....I guess I'll wait 'till after Thanksgiving to mail them out!

Well, look what you found in the basement, Marge! Thanks for bringing it out and dusting it off in time for the holidays! I need to print this off to go with a couple of my gifts! I can't find the left-overs from last years printing!

Thank you, Noah! You are so sweet! I wish you and yours a very blessed and merry Christmas!
