This forum is a great idea! I want to share this song that I wrote several years ago. The Unknown Family There were kings. There were wise men. There were armies. There were empires great and strong. They had power and dominion O'er the earth's disenchanted throng. There were Joseph and Mary and a Baby Who was born in a humble stall, Just a poor and unknown family For the Savior of us all. There were angel choirs who sang about a King, And a bright new star set the sky alight, While a mother softly sang her Child to sleep And rocked Him through the night. There was might. There was fame and there was glory. There was tender, gentle love. Yes, the Hope of the world was in a family, Sent to us from Heav'n above. To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn |

Wonderful piece contrasting God's work against man's. Our Savior, born in a lowly stable, being king of kings. Thank you. Rae |

This is great and i'd like to hear the tune someday hehe. A wonderful way to go back to christmas being about God! "I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust." I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

That was really beautiful! Our salvation was in Jesus and his mother and [foster] father. Elizabeth You cling to your ways and leave mine to me. Suum cuique. ~Elizabeth |

Coco - Thank you for "splendid"! I wrote this one for myself to sing, so I wanted to make it good. Dopey - Yes, well it was written for church, and that is certainly what Christmas is supposed to be about, isn't it? I have it recorded, if you'd really like to hear it. I might be able to send you a copy of the tape. Elizabeth - Yes, it is a good thing to remember that He came into a family as a little baby, and needed good parents, just as all babies do. To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn |
