I am fruit rotting on the fruitscale mould-coated, malleable, discarded [eventually thrown away] (in the fire) I am a wineskin burst: hollow, liquid evicted - licked up [the world drunk on my evaporation] I am a banana bent: weighted, longing to peel away [the load] I am the pit of a plum naked: eaten around the edges, spat out, grinded in the blade of a waste-disposal unit [longing to be whole and clothed once more] I am an apple cut and peeled: coreless, all flesh and browning pulp waiting [to be consumed] I am fruit[less] on a fruitscale: but attatched to the vine I am fecund, fearless, [and bound to beat the frost when winter comes.] |

Great ending. Indeed, you will prevail when the time of trials arrives. Good poem. michael |

Great job! Very well put! ------------------ ~*~ Time erases and rewrites all the lines. What remains is the poetry! ~*~ |
