Umbered Plains
~*Marge Tindal*~

I met Him on
the umbered plains
He knew me by sight
He spoke my name

Without hesitating
I fell to my knees
this He said
to comfort me

Child, you are weary
carrying your load and more
Give me now your burdens
that's what my strength is for

You've done just what
I'd have you do
Now it's my turn
to lighten you

I felt Him lift me
to new heights
One touch of His hand
All is right

Marge....*sigh*....how is it that you always describe things so exquisitely beautifully...God is so amazing, the way He carries our burdens if we will let Him....
I love this poem. I love God. And I love you too, Marge!

Love and hugs,
Lizzie

I am glad that Elizabeth brought this beauty back up as it is truely just that.  The beauty that is felt throughout the soul of a person when they give themselves over to the grace of the Lord.  Amazing write my friend.

This time of year the burdens do get heavy like Santa's big sack... I am glad that Jesus is always strong enough to carry us through.
Thanks for bringing this post back up, Bob <><

How perfect you write of, 'offloading those burdens to Him'.  Lovely poem with wise truth and reminders that He wants us to give these burdens to Him.  Wonderfully written.

Elizabeth~
Thank you for letting me know you enjoyed these thoughts.

MarkB~
So easy to turn it over to Him.
He says we only need ask -
I appreciate your reply, Mark.

Suzanne~
Pleased to spread the warmth He brings.

LightHouseBob~
His strength lightens our load -
we just have to be strong enough to relinquish it to Him.

KindaSorta~
He does, doesn't He !
Sure makes it easier when the load is shared.

Elizabeth, my friend~
If I'd received no other gift this day -
you've given me all I need.
God be with you and give you even more strength, my friend.

He will carry us all through the times of need.
Love to you - much love.
