THE JOURNEY OF A TEAR DROP I am a warm salty tear drop that has journeyed far and wide I started in the body of a woman whose husband had just said"goodbye" She cooked a lovely dinner this day lit candles to dine by but sitting there at the empty table is where she closed her eyes and cried I ran down her trembling cheek onto her quievering hand that held the note she recieved from this uncaring cold man The silence of this woman's sorrow as she looked over the table decor touching everything with anguish pain for what she would share no more What a reflection I saw as I laid there upon that hand a woman's heart broken to pieces for she had so much love for this man As she picked up the picture that sat next to the candle lit I rolled from her hand onto it's frame of three beautiful children I must admit As I ran down the glass she spoke in such a sad way what will I tell my daughters when they say "where is daddy today" She drew the picture to her heart and thats where I came to rest soaked through her blouse into her soul what a journey I must attest I came from a well of tear drops that only knew true joy and happiness but somehow I got mixed up and landed in the well of the depressed Before I was so happy to be a tear drop felt for I came about out of love the kind that could make your heart melt But I don't want to be the tear drop that is shed from hurt and pain for the journey that it takes you through is one that can drive you insane So next time you feel a tear drop from pain and sorrow upon your face brush me away quickly for I long to be replaced Let me be the tear drop where joy and happiness abounds the tear drop shed in the joy of love is where I want to be found written by rose mary(c) 5/20/2000 sadie 1030 |

exquisite poem, Rose Mary. So very sad though. I like the concept of the tear talking in the first person. Great job. Ellie 02 |

RoseMary~ A soft tear falls never knowing the journey on which it might be going A tear of joy might be sent to rest in a soul where sorrow is sent to caress A tear to grow and someday rest on eyelash of much intended happiness found in a heart of much joy ~*~ Beautiful thoughts you've shared with your journey of the tear. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

oh dear this is just a wonderful poem! Describes a story so sad so well, and ends in a terrific way. Every word, and every tear drop are just beautiful! God bless you! You're words are said and moving, as the teardrop in this very feeling poem. David |

Interesting perspective of a tear drop! Sad, and moving it is. You've given me a whole different way of looking at it. <*\\\>< God does have a sense humor. Just take a look at the platypus! |
