Yeah, you know that feeling Your head is pounding so hard it drowns out your voice; your thoughts Your mind is parading through a thick forest of pain And all you can do it sit And embrace it all And exhale it all Because you have to Up until this point I never knew why Why we encounter these battles in our brains But now I understand It is to defeat them Overcome the fears that we were brought up in Surpass the habits we have become accustomed to And drown out the statement of failure For in each one of us There are our own successes That are fabricated from our weaknesses But only come can OVERPOWER this masterpiece A webbed mind of intellectual challenges We are as broke as the penny on the ground Unless we get up and do something with ourselves Achieve things that are almost mentally incapable Because we strive to Because we attempt the impossible Because we sure as hell can! |

Kari, This is a very thoughtful piece, but in a positive way. Sometimes we can think too muchand defeat ourselves before we begin by our thoughts--but this seems just the opposite--winning in what we do because we tell ourselves up front that we can, and thus do.
