It seemed I roamed in Galilee on hillsides flecked with shade where Mary plied her spindle and little Jesus played. He romped among the flowers and when He tired of play He came to sit beside her it seemed I heard Him say; "Oh, see the flowers in my hands- how each red petal glows! And see the ones upon my feet- I plucked them with my toes! And see the rosy chapley I braided for my head!" Could He have known of prints of nails and a crown of thorns instead? ------------------ ~*~ Time erases and rewrites all the lines. What remains is the poetry! ~*~ |

Even if this didn't happen, the truth is this for sure--he came with full intention of doing that for which he was sent. Your question--points to this truth(-however ever much he foreknew or inspite of what he knew-) he willingly did it all for us, Praise the Lord & thank God for sending him our way. Melanie, you gave a good thought to consider--Bravo! ------------------ "Our Creativity points to a Higher Creator--we couldn't have just happened, and for what ability we may possess--to God be the glory." -dlw- |

You are so right, Echo. He came here with full intent and even as a child, that had to be much to bear in "human" form. I cannot fathom the depths of anguish that He would have had to deal with knowing was lied ahead of Him and especially while it was happening. Very thought provoking piece, thank you. Michael |

Melanie you have a gift of His praise also! This reminds me of the song Mary Did You Know. Heard of it? I love it, it makes you wonder. And the song by Rich Mullins but I can't think of the name at the moment! Sorry I didn't mean to take away from your poem here. You just made me think! |
