I remember everything;
How you walked, talked, how your clothes smelt like fabric softner.
I remember when you got braces, I remember how we sold lemonade and earned $4 each.
I remember you loved the Backstreet Boys and horses.
Your grandma was a drama director but you were shy.
I remember your little brother and sister were annoying, and how your dad would emberass you.
I remember how your p.j's had a chocolate stain and we joked that it was poo.
I remember how you'd sleep over on Friday nights and we'd eat fries and laugh. You hated scary movies but I'd convince you to watch them.
I remember how many secrets we knew about each other.
I remember you being my best friend.
But I also remember the fight that ended our friendship. I cried for days.
Afterwards it seemed everyone was on my side, and against you.
I told myself at the time that I was better off without you.
You were my best friend.
I don't regret our friendship at all, I treasure it.
I don't regret moving on either, it had to happen I guess.
I do regret how it ended, why did it end so awefully?
I know I never told you any of this, and I just wanted to say:
"Thank you for being the best friend i ever had."

Hi and Welcome! You've done a great job describing the pain of losing a good friend.
I have a question though, can you still tell this person what you've said here? Or are they not around anymore?

If you can tell them I would suggest sending this poem to them.

Please check your email for a special welcome!

I hope to see more from you!

Hi soulful - How sad to lose a good friend. And your words certainly convey your feelings for her.  I agree with WhtDove, if you can, let her see this... Bonnie

soulfulpoet, Thank you for your poem. You have reminded us to say, "I'm sorry", when we still have the opportunity. So sad, the ending for you. Blessings, marcy
