STEP BY STEP I'LL FIND YOU JESUS

As I take my first step today
I have Your promise my life will become new
asking You into my heart
is the first step to find You
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When I reach the second step
I must believe that You died and arose for me
that on this step is where Your shed blood
ha been spilled to set me free
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As my feet take me higher
the third step is where I pray
and as I pray I hear You answer
on how to change all my wrong ways
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

On the fourth step I find
how much You really love and care
for through Your Spirit in me
I can feel and know how much You share
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Then I climb to the fifth step
this is where I find Your obedience
it is where You plant in me
Your holy common sense
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The sixth step that I reach
draws me closer to You
for I have grown in truth and Spirit
in all I say and do
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

as I approach the seventh step
love,peace and happiness I have found
for it was upon this step
I truly realized Jesus You have turned my life around
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So today I see the remaining staircase
that still lies ahead of me
and step by step I will climb it
to become more like the You I long to be
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

For step by step I'll find You Jesus
till I am made complete and whole
and when I reach that last step
into heaven You will accept my soul

Wow! That's the kind of "Stairway to heaven" that's beautiful to listen to. I love what you did here "Step by Step". Excellent poem!

The first step is always the hardest, but it gets easier from there. This is a beautifulk poem, written from the heart!

Rose, I liked the simplicity of each step. This could be used as a ministering tool to help someone lost understand, accept in faith that which may not be felt or undersood, just keep on climbing!! Great job.

Post in the newspaper. Somewhere people need to get to know Jesus! This is wonderful, step by step. Many people often wonder what it all entails.
