[PART THREE: My Futile Attempts to Defuse the Crisis] But being an experienced Negotiator And this being the Jew's Passover Time, I thought I would have some leverage If I gave them a choice, not mine. As I have done in the past At this time, a Jewish prisoner we release, So I thought that this would do it And thus the hostilities cease. I gave them a choice as who to set free "Here's two choices, so I'll let you choose, Barabas, a well known criminal-- Or Jesus-the king of the Jews?" But things didn't go so easy As urged by their leaders again, They said, "We will take Barabas-- But Jesus-you crucify him!" "But why do you make such a decision? What evil has this man really done?" But they became the more determined-- It was here for his death, they had come! And while I was sitting in the court I received from my wife, a chilling note, Which said,"Have nothing to do with that just man-- For I had a troubled dream of him,"so she wrote. [to be continued] |

Amazing account David. It always blows my mind when I think of the religious community wanting to kill him. He made waves for them, and people followed him, and that made them really mad. |

I keep remembering that everyone involved here were just pawns to fulfill the scriptures written long ago. Jesus was following the will of our Father for our sake. I feel a great sens of humility reading this on Good Friday morn. on to 4... 02 |

As I've learned the scriptures, it was the High Priests and their 'plants' in the crowd , that was behind this .... not the whole Jewish community ... 'S' |
