Jacob relented, "If it must be! Do this Gather some of the best products Of our land Put them in your bags And take them down To the man As a gift A little balm, A little honey, Spices and myrrh, Pistachio nuts, And Almonds Take double the amount Of silver with you For you must return The silver that was your sacks For it was most likely A mistake. Take your brother also, Go quickly! And may God Almightly Grant you mercy." |

Keep going.......Look at Jacob's attitude (heart), not only did he instruct his boys to "return" the silver, which had been placed back into their bags on purpose unknowing to Jacob and his sons, but prepare a special gift to return with AND with Benjamin too. Boy, these ten boys of twelve did not take after their wise ole dad, did they? Doing a great job. Marcy |

SEPTSONG, with each installment different lessons are suggested. Here, we see the lesson of doing what we have to do, to get the job done, and our objectives won. It might also be noted that, while Jacob is instilling in his sons the importance of honesty-Jacob(who's very name means supplanter) had not always been to upright and honest, and had learned the hard way- that Honesty is the best policy! Very Good! David |
