God in His wondrous
ways.
Has given me a precious
gift.
The gift of a daughter.

She's my youngest of six,
only twelve years old.
And her name is
Laura Marie.

She's taller than me,
and very lovely.
Gifted with an athletes
spirit,
as agile as a cat.

Her smile is so lovely,
a dimple appears each time.
It's her heart and her spirit
that glows.
She's kind and she's funny,
and intelligent too.

Just yesterday
we spent time together,
shopping for a CD,
her favorite group.
Chatting and laughing,
having fun as we went.
Later listening to the
music,
we discovered new songs.

I feel close to her
and I know she feels the
same.

As I write this
I'm feeling in awe
at the gift,
I've been given in her.

How can I begin to
thank You, my Lord?
"Just love her the way
that you do,
is all the thanks I need".
