The Empty Egg Once I read a story that stuck with me About a spring project and student, Jeremy, Who had a learning disability, Causing some efforts to appear quite silly. A plastic egg was given to each student To hold some sign that new life was evident. Buds, bugs, leaves, etc. were in eggs returned, But Jeremy's was bypassed, in concern. Perhaps he didn't understand The new life project she had planned, As he'd retuned his egg but it was empty, So she ignored it to save the humility. Jeremy raised his hand up high, Asking, "Why didn't you open mine?" "It's empty. Didn't you know what to do?" Jeremy smiled, "Yes, it's empty like Jesus' tomb" |

No one had the copyright on insight, and sometimes it seems to proceed from the most unlikely places. I loved your poem, Sandgrain. When it comes to Jesus tomb, we have every right to make something out of Nothing! Our fulness comes only because it was made empty! Thank you for the precious reminder, David "Our Creativity points to a Higher Creator--we couldn't have just happened, and for what ability we may possess--to God be the glory." -dlw- |
