My song was sung long before,
I sang my first note here.
It was composed for me alone,
long before I learned to sing.
Then why the discord, out of tune?
Why the sound of wrong notes sung,
    harshly in my heart?
They sound this way to me,
because I only hear the note,
       not the Symphony.
So, let me try to listen,
to hear the notes in tune.
For they are lessons I have
         learned,
from all the wrong notes sung.
Then my heart can learn to sing,
the song He wrote for me.

What a great poem-first there was the Dancing, now there is the Singing--and learning how to sing our own special God-given song by listening to the Whole symphony so that we might be in tune & harmony, to sing our life, the way God intended,  I hear you loud and clear--and believe me it is not off tune -but beautiful!
Thank you, Dear Ellie, Sing on!!!

This is just beautiful, it's got me humming already, and listening for the sounds of the symphony...I will keep my ears open so I may have the chance to sing that song.  Thanks so much for this.

Please sing for me, that sweet melody....
Great poem.  It's hardest for the one way off key to recognize it, it seems.

What a beautiful thought that God has so made our lives to be a part of a much larger scheme of things than we ever imagined.  The imagery of a symphony is beautiful to me.  I use that same image in one of my poems to describe the "body of Christ" or the church when it finally comes into its completed unity.  Maybe oneday I'll post that one (but it is very long).  Anyway your poetry is very pleasant and well written.  Much enjoyment!

Beautiful poem. Your love for the Lord and
seeking His perfect will in your life was
clearly defined. You reminded me to listen
and yield to what God is saying to us.
Just Beautiful.

Ellie don't ever stop singing to us. Or showing us how we should stop and listen for God to be singing to us. I think sometimes we plug our ears.

Thanks for being a light and helping us see.
Beautiful poem my dear!

Ellie you know what this made me think of?  How if your voice wasn't a part of the symphany (i almost wrote sympathy! hehe), it would be lacking something, and be incomplete.  Your voice, to God, is never out of key, when you praise His holy name the sound is beautiful to His ears, no matter how badly we think we sound.  And at any rate, your song sounded splendidly in MY ears!  Keep singing girl, i'll join ya!

Your spirit is beautiful here. I love the gift of verse and song. As you know it touches my heart from the poem I wrote for my Grandmaw. God blessed you with a symphony of love.
Sincerely,
Rwood
