God Is Love Satan knows my name he knows my strengths yet he knows my weakness. He plays with those around me whips me with chains through their pain. He blinds my vision makes me naive trusting in lies. Looking for hope on false promises only he could make. I know God's name I know his strengths. He knows my weakness also but doesn't play me. He helps to heal the wounds and ease the pain. God opens the shades for me to see truth and shine with honesty. God gives hope to all that call on his name. God is love. |

Amen! That's the difference between God and Satan, isn't it? You're so right, although God and Satan both know our weaknesses, God will help us to overcome these weaknesses, whereas Satan will use them to give himself glory. Thanks for sharing yet another fantastic poem! ![]() |

The title says it all, Gloria. Such beautiful words you've written nonetheless. I too must add, AMEN. Michael |

Thank You all, I was having a tough time last night, so I wrote one poem to express the anger, which then led me to this one. I am so glad I have found poetry as a way of expressing, it does wonders for the soul. Thanks again. |

Yes there is a battle going on, a daily pursuit for our affections, Thank God his loving entreaty and tender mercies are renewed every day and that we may escape the temptors snare. Loved your verse, Keep fighting the Good fight and God Bless. Dennis :^) Poetry is the expression of thoughts which awake the higher and nobler emotions, or their opposites, with words arranged to some accepted convention.........or maybe not! Dennis :^) |

Gloria so much truth here. Satan does take our weakness and use it against us. He also uses those around us to get to us. And your right God is the one who helps us overcome those weakness'. For in our weakness, His power is shown! <*\\\>< There's only two ways you can go... One way you can save your riches, And the other will save your soul. Rich Mullins |

It's good to know who our true friends and true enemies are--especially in the spiritual realms! Your lovely poem hit the nail sqarely on the head! Bless you, David "Our Creativity points to a Higher Creator--we couldn't have just happened, and for what ability we may possess--to God be the glory." -dlw- |

A great piece packing pure truth! The first poem I ever wrote came out of deep despair. I'm convinced God forms it in us to come out for our healing relief. |
