The week-end now is over
The work-week's just begun,
I guess it happens just that way
So we won't have too much fun.

Another week's ahead of us
So as we can, we must get our reast,
For the job is so demanding
It will be putting us to the test.

But thank God for the strength we have
And our God-given abilities,
That we might labor with our hands
And provide for our families.

Work is a blessing that man has
Tho' it's oft' not perceived that way,
It gives us a chance to prove ourselves
For we are not here just to play.

I thank God that I have my job
Tho' aometimes it is quite a drain,
It gives me a satisfaction
That I'm not on that free-loading train.

Not all things in life are easy
If 'twere so, I would never grow,
In the sweat of my brow, I'll do my part
And in it, God will bless me, I know

You're so right David, even something as ordinary as our jobs we can take for granted. You are indeed very blessed to have work to do, and to do it for his glory lends you great dignity indeed. Great attitude, great poem, thanks!

Dear David; Your amazing gift for poetry shines forth once again! I can't tell you how many times I've felt the same way. Then my "attitude of gratitude", kicks in, and I am grateful for the job and the ability to work. Wonderful job, David!  Ellie

How fortunate an employer is to have you.  We too, are bessed by your presence here.  An attitude of gratitude is a marvelous character trait, and I'm sure you're infecting many others with it.  God bless.

Tis a curse and blessing,
You're truley confessing,
Work has both stories,
But to God be the Glory!

You will be blessed in your efforts, David.  You already have been.
