To be your one true angel, to be your guiding light... To wrap wings of forgiving love around you, and give comfort on those long, lonely nights. To heal your pain and finally set you free... to spare you of this so unfair suffering. If only this angel ... I could truly be. If I could take your sorrow, I'd gladly cry those tears for you. If I could lift your burdens... I'd carry the weight that nearly breaks you in two. If I were truly an angel...all these things I could then do. But, baby...I'm no angel... I'm only a woman in love. I posses no special powers-- just belief and faith in the light that shines from above. So if that makes me an angel- from your point of view... Whtdove - I fully agree!!! I often feel exactly like that too, janet. I want to heal their pain, take away their suffering, fix their problems. But whatever we do, to try and help, the best thing is just to be there, and comfort, and be a friend. Because the rest is up to God, and in just being there, we are like angels, I think that's what someone was trying to tell you there. You are an angel Janet, just by being there for your loved one. |
