Maybe you don’t listen Or maybe you hold a grudge If you listen to me once, listen now One day, we will all be judged You will appear in Heaven And as you take a look An angel will be at the gate Looking for your name in a Book And then, if you didn’t repent The angel will look up and say “I do not see your name here You can not go this way” “NO!” you’ll think in disbelief None of this can be real “Please, let me speak to God I can make an appeal” And then you will hear a Voice So very kind and clear He will say your name and ask “Do you want to stay here?” “Yes! I want to be here with You” And then you’ll hear Him say “I never knew you, my child I’ll have to turn you away. You never put your faith in me You said I didn’t give you reason Reason to believe that I exist Well, my child, didn’t you see the seasons? I made the stars shine, the sun rise I made you draw each breath I did all this for you I even sent my Son to death I let Him die so you could stay Here in Heaven above But you were blind to all I’ve done You refused to see My love But now, my child, it’s too late You can stay here no more” So He will make you go away You’ll be outside the door And before you go to eternal death You will make one more plea To stay in the Heavenly light Because you don’t want to leave “God, why did you do this to me? Why don’t you offer me help? And then God will look and say “You did this to yourself” So, listen while you’ll still alive Because you'll never know When you're Judgement Day may be You'll never know until you go "To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world" |

Very nice work! I find it so hard to believe people can say they see no evidence of God. Goes to show we do have free will and people will believe what they WANT rather than what's proven. Jesus never performed a miracle SO someone would believe, but rather BECAUSE they already believed,it seems. |

Thank you for your poem. Judgment is not a subject we like to think about(like love, grace, & heaven), but something for which we must prepare, for all must there appear, and the vast majority of humanity will sadly find out, they waited too late! Your poem is very good--chilling & sobering--a good thought(and hopefully, action) -provoker!
