I want you to question yourself Contradict your law Open up a wanderig soul Rub your beliefs raw Sad stories told the tale Lies blossom from within Locked away in our own perspectives We can never win Take a walk and go backwards Review the past so cold Then look forward without reason And that past, you can fold Cherishing the knowledge Blank of what to think Writing words & forming thoughts Have made me all but weak Philosophy amazes me Points of view that loom Minds can all but comprehend The truth which we assume |

So much food for thought. I am forever asking that my perpectives be changed to His view of things, because mine can be so narrow at times. Thanks for making me think. also, for the beautiful way you put it together. 02 |

A very insightful poem here,Kari. And a good point you are making, Like 2 Corinthians 13:15 which says "Examine yourself whether ye be of the faith." Presumption of such is deadly, even Spiritual Suicide. And going purely on the basis of our Own reasoning is nothing but Intellectual Insanity--but not grounds in God's Court for a NOT GUILTY plea. Thanks for sounding this sound warning. David "Our Creativity points to a Higher Creator--we couldn't have just happened, and for what ability we may possess--to God be the glory." -dlw- |

Lean not on your own understanding. But unto the Lord's. That's what your poem brought to mind. Your second stanza says a lot. Locked away in our own perspectives, we cannot win until we look to God! <*\\\>< When you can't make up your mind Which way is right for you, Stop and softly ask yourself, What Would Jesus Do? |

kari- This was a very good poem. Just to get that out of the way. It flowed well, it made sense and it open a place for your audience to look into. It is important for us to look at things from different angles, this is an important life lesson you reminded us of with your words. Well Done! you can't make footprints in the sand of times that you are sitting down |
