"Falling"

Autumn's breeze is falling--
falling all around,
Fragile leaves are crumbling
as they tumble to the ground.
Autumn's all around us
in golden-auburn hues--
Telling of our Savior,
His wondrous gospel news.
Broken ... not forsaken,
We can hear the North Wind call,
"Come all ye children of the Lord
in Christ be Love enthralled--
Come all ye children of the Lord,
come gather one and all."
Like seedlings 'round the old oak,
Like fields bowed down with wheat,
Like angels come to gather
about His mercy seat,
Autumn's breeze is falling--
falling all around,
Fragile leaves are crumbling
as they tumble to the ground.
