He Calls To Me

Across the years, He calls to me
And in my mind's eye I can see
High Calvary and there the cross.
A symbol of the world's great loss.
But also too, a hopeful sign.
Salvation now, is yours and mine
Because of sacrifice He made
And for our sins, in death, He paid.

I seem to see the hostile throng
And those who knew this act was wrong.
The grief and anguish of the few
Who followed Him.His love they knew
Would be with them and ease the pain
Until they joined Him once again,
To dwell in mansions He's prepared,,
With all of Heaven's blessings shared!

(big hugggssssss) Oh Betty, this is soooooo wonderfully heartfelt, sweet friend, may we all follow Him and find peace in His embrace and may He protect all our children from sin and teach them loves virtues! this was wonderful, I got a bit choked up. this is very beautiful, my prayer is that everyone finds God's love. I pray we all follow his teachings. Thank you for sharing.

This is a great write. Knowing that he cared for us so much to hang there on that cross, will always mean so much to me.
