Once the rose dripped crimson into my dawn tiny drops of life to wet the lawn. An illusion? perhaps but I think the rose weeps for a world that appears to be gone to sleep. For even the rocks and the trees would cry out even the birds and the bees would give shout, were we not to worship at the feet of the King all of nature would rejoice all of His praises they'd sing. So I think the rose weeps for the souls of man knowing salvation would bridge the span between all of God's children and the Lord up above I think the rose weeps it weeps in love. WhiteRose |

Very visual personification of what I interpret to be the Rose of Sharon who weeps over creation with groanings and intercessions. I also find in your poem the scripture being paraphrased that says if we fail to worship the Lord... still the rocks will cry out in worship to the Lord in our place. I love how you combine nature and scripture in your poetry. Very nicely done. -Bob |
