[written for my first grandchild ] Once upon a time, in real life. On this very planet called earth. In the most glorious spring, the earth has ever known, on the most beautiful April day, in the year 1994, of our Lord, on the day of the 23rd of that month, a miracle happened. The most wondrous child was born. Her mother and father named her Sarah Grace. At least they think they did. For the real truth of the matter is, that all the Angels, in all of Heaven, had gathered at the news of her birth. For they alone knew the blessed gift, that this child would be. So they whispered in Bob and Mary's ear, " name her Sarah Grace". So, they came with all God's gifts. First they gave her a heart that would always know Love, and give that love wherever she went. They springled Angel dust in her eyes, so that forever more she would always see, the goodness in others and the beauty of the earth. They touched her lips with their music, So she would always sing her own true song, and her music would change the universe forever, making the world so beautiful, that the Angels danced and laughed at the sound, and all the stars shone brighter forever more! 02 |

Ellie, What a wonderful and magical touch you have put on this one. The Birth of a child is a miraculously wonderful event, in and of it self, but your poem helps us see the wonder, the enchantment, the beautiful heavenly endowment that is also a part of the blessing of a child's born. Again, your words speak for themselves and say alot about you too. Marvelous!!! Wow, this is so beautiful, what a very blessed child this is, blessed to be given wonderful parents, wonderful grandparents, and a special poem to hand down to the next generation! I can hardly wait to be a grandparent, just about everyone I know that is, are so proud. Give her a hug for me, Ellie. |

Ellie, this is SO beautiful, your love for your granddaughter shines thru in every verse...what a lovely tribute to her and one she will treasure when she is older. And what a beautiful name she has "Sarah Grace"...its so poetic... ..."They springled Angel dust in her eyes, so that forever more she would always see, the goodness in others and the beauty of the earth." ....what a beautiful thought.I'm so glad you shared this with us...Take care, Janet Marie Some things cannot be explained by verses that rhyme, They are not measured by the commitment of time. Some emotions run too deep to be described by words, Forgiveness and understanding- remain the most beautiful words ever heard. Janet Marie |

Ellie, I am speechless at the beauty of the love you have expressed about your grandchild. I too am a grandmother and could not have found such a wonderous description as you. A real talent and deep love you have. God's essence is shining in this beautiful piece that you have written. |

Wow! What a wonderful way to announce the birth to the world. I don't know how old she is now, if this is new or what. But this would make a wonderful birth announcement for her! |
