Yellow Sky

It's morning and a yellow sky
Lights up the east and draws the eye,
To where the sun will soon appear.
The songs of all the birds I hear,
Seem jubilant and joyful too,
At coming through the night to view
Another sunrise and to sing
Of happy things the day will bring.

Then as the color starts to grow,
The world takes on a golden glow,
That seems intense and quite unreal.
I look around me and I feel
This day is different from the rest
And by the time it paints the west,
I will have savored every hour
And brought some secret dream to flower.
With heart-felt gratitude, I pray,
To God who gave this lovely day!

Lovely Betty.  To think some people go through life without even noticing all the beauty around.  You are not one of them. Love, Joyce

Amen! and that it is, my dear, a wonderful day. There are so many chores that need to be done in my yard, and yet I find myself only wanting to savor the flavor of this day's beauty and peace.

Your poem is lovely and lyrical.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

(smiles) Awwwwwww, I love this, sweet friend, it too saddens me to see so many not take the time to each day feel the simple beauties and joys of life everyday! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderfully heartfelt, sweet friend, God Bless You, may we always cherish the smiles of every day he gives us, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Betty, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Joyce:  Thanks for your nice comments.  I have to get up at 5:00 every morning and I always step outside for a few minutes to enjoy the freshness and beauty of approaching day.  I usually go back to bed for a couple of hours afterwards, but my son needs medication at that time.

We should all do that every day.
Unfortunately we let the rigors of the day get in our way.
Works like this serve to remind us and for that I thank you

Melton:  Thank you for responding and it really is the most peaceful part of the day, at least here it is.
