Our King

He was our King and yet He wore
The clothing common to the poor.
His robes were plain, not rich and rare.
His sandals sturdy, meant to wear.
He had no palace, mansion, hall.
No place to call His own, at all,
But in a larger sense, He knew,
The world was His, the people too.

He walked most places that he went.
His simple way of living lent
A sense of great reality
To all the folks He came to see.
He ate the food that they did eat.
There was no throne or fancy seat.
He slept wherever He might be.
He held small children on His knee.

I'm sure His visage had a light
Not seen before in men of might
And in the stories that He told,
Are words of wisdom, gifts of gold,
That make our lives a better place.
Though we no longer see His face,
We know He waits for us to be
United, for eternity!

Within simplicity truth shines, naked and beautiful.
Live Simply - Simply live.
This is wonderful piece that makes my soul warm.

BRAVO!!! This is wonderful, sweet friend, yes, His visage is clear to us all and His sanctuary is not a palace or castle, but rather more ultimately the alters of all our hearts, where He will always be the bell-ringer! (kiss on cheek) This is fabulous, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Betty, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
