The Changing Sky

I watch the changing sky and see
Such gifts of love for you and me.
At sunrise, sunset, the colors flare
And every hue is captured there.
The rainbows coming after rain,
Draw our eyes towards God again.

He sends us clouds of every kind
And some leave fog or snow behind,
But all are necessary for
The climate, stretching shore to shore
And sea to sea, the world around.
There is no place where clouds aren't found.

We always look for skies of blue
To plan our day and when we do,
Our spirits lift.We take each day
With thanks for what God sends our way.
I check each morn when I arise
To see the grandeur of the skies!

Joyce:  Thanks for responding.  You're right about the skies setting the pace of our days.  I look out to see what the day will be like, at 5:00 a.m. every morning, although it quite often changes in a hurry!

WOW!! Trillium..
What a beautiful read.

Thoroughally  enjoyed the meter and the continuity of your well established rhyme in the poem's rhythm. Terrific!!

This poem is as expressive as a morning's sky is to a sky-watcher.

A pleaure to read you,

[jarz] Jody.

What a great poem... you CAN see God's promises all written in the sky, even the ones unspoken that He always has our best interests at heart even though the getting there is not necessarily of our own chosing.
I enjoyed this one a lot.
