The calendar says spring the temperature says not yet.
Most of the country has sunshine. Pacific Northwest
wet.
Halfway through spring to summer, my garden is still unturned.
Patience a virtue in gardening, something I never learned.
Television weathermen say the sun will shine by noon.
Perhaps I can get the lawn mowed and pick it up by June.
Dear Lord I am getting older, how many springs to go?
I can't afford to lose one, as Lord You must surely know.
It isn't hard to please me, on gardener's knees I pray,
Please grant me one small favor, a warm and sunshiny day.
And then if I might add Lord, if you let me have my way.
Give me the good sense not to try to do it all today.

(smiles) Oh Joyce, this is soooooo beautifully touching, I too have been longing ever so much for the spring to truly take effect, for we are having the worst drought here now since 1951 and I yearn for Him to let it rain and enrich the soil with the blessings of spring for me! (kiss on cheek) May He always bring the beauty and laughter of spring to your angelic heart, sweet friend, this is wonderful! God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Joyce, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I enjoyed the comical atmosphere your prayer has.

Thanks,

Joyce,

I started to plant a little garden 50 years ago and still the dirt awaits my shovel.

"The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride." NIV Ecclesiastes 7:8

Joyce:  I know how frustrated you must feel. Same situation here where we live. too cold and too wet!  I do have a few brave daffodils in bloom now though.
