God's Presence

A mocking bird’s trill
is the spoken word of God
The gentle summer breeze , His sigh
His face is mirrored in a silent pond
reflecting a twighlight sky

God’s heart beats in the ocean tides
and in a sparrow’s breast
His blood runs through veins of the earth
in trickling brooks, on river’s crest

He has left his footsteps in the sand
and on the sparkling crust of snow
He left them there beside my bed
before He had to go

His song is in the rustling sycamore leaves
In the drizzling drops of rain
In fluttering of feathered wing
in the swirling dusty plain

In all of earth’s nature, in all living things
God’s presence can be seen
In starlit skies, in ocean’s depths
On water’s silver sheen

In windswept fields of amber grain
In rose of crimson red
Beside the lake, beside the stream
And here beside my bed

Elizabeth,
This is beautiful! It tells of all God is. His power, his majesty, and how speaks to us in all we see and hear.
His whisper of comfort is always near, just as you said.
Wonderful poem! I know God is smiling down on you.

Beautiful writing,
'In all of earth’s nature, in all living things
God’s presence can be seen'
This is beautiful and very true He is with us at every turn.
God Bless you

Elezabeth,

Very-very calming and well written.  So true that "God's Presence" is seen and felt all around us in the form of Nature.... And yet, no matter how Big, Bold and Beautiful God certainly is, He still remains gentle, close, and personal enough as to be "present" beside our beds at night.  Again, very nicely written and thank you for sharing.  God bless.  -Bob

I very much enjoy reading about more ways God’s presence is acknowledged and expressed so beautifully.

Thanks,
