Underneath Your Clothes By: Noah Eaton 4/6/02 I recall times when I was claustrophobic To me justice was just ironic Considered high-strung Contemplated suicide, my dreams were banished I felt like Ganymede Serving cups to my demons Who would ever think of Such an incandescence that follows To watch a thunderstorm Spawn a perfect rainbow And watch these streets with no names Flower with the samaras of a sugar maple And finding your shoulder no longer freezing When it is suddenly touched by an angel Underneath your clothes There is a friend in both you and me Underneath your clothes Jesus loves you always sincerely And all the flowers That bloom in the spring Maybe I'm just miffy But these feelings to me are righteous His song lullabyes me like a child Swathes my wounds and I don't need a bandage I feel the spring dawning upon me It feels so good to reform I now wear this cleavage Singing this song to my Good lord Underneath your clothes There is a friend in both you and me Underneath your clothes Jesus loves you always sincerely Underneath your clothes There's an oriel for both fraternity and sorority And all the flowers That bloom in the spring Look up to the heavens, my friend He will always lend you a shoulder to cry over All you have to do is ask Our hearts will always rest in the hands of our Savior Underneath your clothes There is a friend in both you and me Underneath your clothes Jesus loves you always sincerely Underneath your clothes There is a love so divine and heavenly Underneath your clothes Is a vision of golden streets Underneath your clothes Jesus will always nurture the child inside you in your sleep Underneath your clothes Love graces your territory... A lot to digest here. I hope all is well with you now. ... underneath your clothes... we're all the same. A cleansing is refreshing. Thanks, Melton |

Noah, Such a beautiful song and testimony of what I believe the Lord can do when we get beneath the undergarments and touch the heart of the matter.... When we just get a glimpse of the heart of GOD and how much He truly Loves us. Oh, the insignificant things of this world truly display their insignificance. What a glorious thing to have your eyes illuminated by the beauty and unity around you as expressed in your poem. Gave me a smile to think about what I viewed as a great big bay-view window opened up for both genders to view the unfolding of what-so-ever is pure and lovely. It too is my desire that all people have the same opportunity to have their stormy weather turn to rainbows and have their unknown streets take a distinct direction down a path of most sweet reward. Just a beautiful poem full of delightful imagery and may you always hang on to that special melody in your heart that GOD has given you. GOD bless. -Bob |

Noah, underneath all the things we hide behind, our lord Jesus Christ sees all and yet loves us. That's his mercy and grace... to love a retch like me. We can never be "good enough" and we don't have to be. You have well said all this, and much much more in your poem. Deb |
