THE TWELVE APOSTLES PETER, Andrew, James, and JOHN, two sets of brothers, fisherman. Philip and Bartholomew before the Lord each other knew. THAD-DAE'-US JUDE and JAMES THE LESS were both our Lord's own relatives. MATTHEW, with his counting beans, was Simon Zealot's enemy. Thomas entertained his doubts, but wicked Judas sold them out. Twelve apostles Jesus took; two wrote gospels, five wrote books. |

Vincent, This is a very interesting and thought provoking treatment of the subject. And to think Jesus chose and put together such a diverse crew, To advance the cause we know is true--such gives us hope--that in our diversity, Jesus can call us to unity! Thanks for the Good Work, David "Our Creativity points to a Higher Creator--we couldn't have just happened, and for what ability we may possess--to God be the glory." -dlw- |

Vincent; Ceverly written. I can't help but make a comparison of the twelve to our family here on passions. We're all so diverse, yet called together to serve and praise Him with our gift of poetry! 02 |

This was really unique writing! Leave one thinkin for a while. Amazing how He pulls people together, and gets done what He was sent for! Ellie you are observant...Is there 12 of us here? I didn't realize that! <*\\\>< Where there is faith, there is love. Where there is love, there is peace. Where there is peace, there is GOD. Where there is GOD, there is no need. Hallmark |

I like this one a lot. Everything Jesus did is just jam packed with wisdom, so one keeps discovering new aspects in the same happening. Thanks for sharing. |

God's family, each unique and each with different talents to share God's lessons. Great poem to point that out. Thanks for sharing. |

Thank you all. We're all different and fit differently into God's scheme, but each of us is every day being comformed more and more to the image of Christ--yet each in his unique way. A note on my capitalization: The names that appear entirely in capital letters are the names of the five Apostles who wrote books. |
