This is a poem I wrote sometime ago that I just rewrote. It shows that He is ever faithful. Night Storms In the darkness Lightening streaks across the sky Rumbling and crackling The earth trembles Like a frightened child I quiver from within My childhood fears of darkness Rekindle again As torrents of rain Come cavalcading with the wind My overactive imagination Has me in it's grip again I see myself Without a shelter over my head Drenched with rain Alone Loved ones gone Fearing that each bolt of lightening Is headed towards me As the darkness lifts Amid the rumblings I hear A bird sweetly singing "God took care of me!" |

A beautiful poem. I used to imagine, when I was young, that the thunder was God's laughing at me. I had a very sinister view of God--not at all enlightened by the gospel. But storms do pass. |

Septsong, Your poem reminds me of the song-"His Eye is on the Sparrow"--God's care is there for us in a marvelous way, if we will not allow ourselves to be halted by fear and blinded by circumstance! Thank you for sharing this one, David "Our Creativity points to a Higher Creator--we couldn't have just happened, and for what ability we may possess--to God be the glory." -dlw- |

Dear Septsong; Hi! I love the beautifully discriptive words that you used. This is very lovely and I'm so glad we're getting to know each other. 02 |

a wonderful poem of comfort and encouragement, teaching us to not get lost in our fears... as we always have a guiding light in the darkness. Janet Marie |

You've used some great imagery! I could see this storm. You know they say worry is a lack of faith, and I guess if we think about it...it is. Though don't we all do it, to find in the end, that He was there, and sheltered us from the storm! <*\\\>< Where there is faith, there is love. Where there is love, there is peace. Where there is peace, there is GOD. Where there is GOD, there is no need. Hallmark |
