The Hour Comes When Jesus knelt to ask that He Might be spared the agony Of crucifixion the next day, How did He feel to hear God say You must endure and see it through. Salvation comes to all, from you! It was the culmination of A life of sacrificial love! Now, after all the years between That fateful day, what does it mean To all of us alive and well, When thinking of the personal Hell Our Savior suffered, so we may Go to dwell with Him one day? It means forgivemess for our sins And that the force of goodness wins Against the evil Satan's plan To turn the hearts of every man. Our love for Him we now renew. We give the homage that is due To One whose perfect life was spent So we may join the sacrament. In gratitude we lift our voice, With all the believers who rejoice!
